Returns, Refunds and Warranty Policy

At LJRide, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you need to return a product, request a refund or report a problem with your order, please read the policy below.

This policy does not limit any mandatory consumer rights you may have under applicable law.

1. Right to Cancel Your Order

If you are a consumer purchasing online in the European Union, you generally have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason.

The 14-day period begins on the day you, or a person you designate other than the carrier, receive the product.

To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision before the withdrawal period expires.

2. Conditions for Returns

You may handle and inspect the product to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, as you would be allowed to do in a physical shop.

If the product has been handled beyond what is necessary for this inspection, you may be liable for any resulting diminished value, as permitted by applicable law.

Please return the product with its supplied accessories, mounting components, instructions and original packaging where reasonably possible.

The absence of original packaging alone does not automatically remove your statutory rights.

3. How to Return a Product

To arrange a return:

Contact us at admin@ljride.com and provide your order number.
State whether you are exercising your right of withdrawal or reporting a product defect.
Wait for our return instructions and shipping address.
Pack the product securely and send it using the agreed return procedure.

Unless otherwise required by law or agreed by us, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning a product when exercising your right of withdrawal.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service and keeping your proof of postage.

Please do not send a return to an address that has not been confirmed by us.

4. Refunds

When you validly exercise your right of withdrawal, we will reimburse the payments received for the returned order, including the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option, where applicable.

If you selected a more expensive delivery method, we are not required to reimburse the additional cost of that upgrade.

Refunds will be processed without undue delay and within the legal time limits. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned product or you have provided evidence that it has been sent back, whichever occurs first, as permitted by law.

Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise.

5. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products

If your product arrives damaged, is defective or does not correspond to your order, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at admin@ljride.com.

Please include:

Your order number.
A description of the problem.
Photographs or videos, if they help explain the issue.

We will assess the issue and explain the next steps.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected. Where a product does not conform to the contract, you may be entitled to repair or replacement, a price reduction or a refund, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.

We will not treat a legitimate warranty claim as an ordinary change-of-mind return.

6. Legal Guarantee

Products sold to consumers are covered by the applicable statutory legal guarantee of conformity.

For new goods sold to consumers in Portugal and generally under EU consumer rules, the legal guarantee is at least two years, subject to the applicable national legislation.

If a lack of conformity arises, contact us with your order details and a description of the problem. We will explain the available remedies in accordance with the law.

The legal guarantee is separate from the 14-day right of withdrawal and cannot be excluded or reduced by this policy.

7. Products Excluded from Return

The right of withdrawal may not apply in certain situations specifically provided for by law, such as certain personalised goods or other legally exempt categories.

We will only rely on an applicable legal exception where its requirements are met.

The fact that a product has been opened or inspected does not, by itself, automatically eliminate the consumer's statutory right of withdrawal.

8. Order Cancellations Before Dispatch

If you wish to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible at admin@ljride.com.

We will try to stop the shipment where reasonably possible. If the order has already been dispatched, the applicable return procedure will apply.

This section does not limit any statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights.

9. Return Shipping and Faulty Products

For a change-of-mind return, the customer generally bears the direct cost of returning the product, provided this was properly disclosed before purchase.

For products that are defective or do not conform to the contract, the applicable legal rules on costs and remedies will apply. We will provide instructions for resolving the issue.
